Paul lives in Herndon with his wife Margie, enjoying his four adult children in the area as well as his four grandchildren. He started riding in 2002 and has been a PARR member since 2003, serving as club Secretary and Treasurer for several years.
Paul still enjoys his 2003 Kawasaki Mean Streak for shorter rides, but puts in most of his miles on a 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300and loves them both. His favorite roads are the twisties in the mountains - particularly the Virginia and Maryland roads through the Blue Ridge, part of the Appalachian Range. West Virginia, where Paul has led PARR weekend trips, falls close behind in providing routes for great day or weekend rides.
In addition to many of PARR's terrific day and weekend trips, Paul has enjoyed stretching the boundaries of his motorcycle world to include treks to Key West, the New England states to the Maine Coast, the Adirondaks of northern NY and, most recently, the fantastic Colorado Rockies. Additionally, through participation in programs like the Motorcycle Grand Tour of Virginia and the Smokechaser Tour he has discovered great barbecue locations; these programs provide great excuses to ride as well as find new and interesting routes around our area and into others.
