Dick Merrill

Dick has been riding motorcycles for 28 years. A lifetime Virginia native, he purchased a half-share of his first bike in Fairfax, VA - a new 1985 Honda Shadow 700. When he and his co-owner verified their love of two-wheeled transportation they went on to co-purchase a new Goldwing. What an enterprising way to break into motorcycling!

Dick has a range of interests that includes general aviation, model railroading and photography. He is interested in nearly everything about motorcycling: back road touring, day rides, repair and maintenance, rider training - you name it! His current ride is a 2012 Honda Goldwing GL1800 NAVI.

Dick enjoys leading rides for PARR and has steered the club through many unique adventures. We can always count on him to supply the latest tech advice - especially when it comes to motorcycle navigation! A Federal Government retiree, Dick is married to his wife Gail and has two sons (neither of whom ride).

Dick has been a PARR member for 27 years. He joined the group after attending a PARR poker run that originated at the former East Coast Harley Davidson - an event that began a long history with our group. He held the office of President for a number of years and has served one term as Vice President.
